Power Factor Correction Panels from Saudi Power Factor Company
Saudi Power Factor Company designs and builds power factor correction equipment in Dammam for industrial plants, commercial buildings and EPC contractors across Saudi Arabia. We make APFC panels, capacitor banks, detuned and harmonic filters, and we survey and maintain them. You send an electricity bill; we return a sized proposal.
What you receive: a written proposal with the kVAr rating, equipment type, standard, lead time and price within one working day of your bill or load list. Request a quotation

What do we supply?
Every product below is built to your load, not picked from a catalogue. Ranges follow the project specification: APFC panels 25–1,200 kVAr, detuned banks 50–1,000 kVAr, fixed banks 5–300 kVAr, thyristor PFC 50–800 kVAr and MV banks 300–10,000 kVAr.
| Product or service | Use it when | Page |
|---|---|---|
| APFC panels | Load rises and falls through the day | APFC panels |
| Capacitor banks | One steady motor or a transformer needs a fixed bank | Capacitor banks |
| Detuned banks | Drives, UPS units or LED lighting create harmonics | Detuned capacitor banks |
| Harmonic filters | Voltage distortion trips breakers or heats cables | Harmonic filter panels |
| Thyristor panels | Welders, cranes and presses change load in cycles | Dynamic thyristor PFC |
| MV compensation | Your supply is medium voltage | MV reactive power compensation |
| Power quality survey | You need data before choosing equipment | Power quality survey |
| Retrofit and spares | An old bank has failed capacitors or contactors | PFC retrofit |
Our full range, with the cost and lead-time questions, sits on the power factor correction in Saudi Arabia page. If your bill already carries a charge for low power factor, start with the power factor penalty service. For panels in service we also offer maintenance contracts and spare parts.
Which industries do we correct power factor for?
Motor-heavy sites gain most. Pick the sector closest to yours:
- cement plants;
- steel and metal works;
- petrochemical and plastics plants;
- oil and gas facilities;
- water pumping stations;
- cold storage and food plants;
- hospitals and healthcare buildings; and
- commercial buildings and malls.
Where do we work?
Our office and workshops are in Dammam. Local pages describe the industrial areas, logistics and site-visit planning for each city: Dammam, Al Khobar, Jubail, the Eastern Province, Riyadh, Jeddah and Yanbu. We have delivered projects in all regions of Saudi Arabia.
Why do plants and contractors choose us?
We have worked in Saudi Arabia since 2010. We are approved by Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, and we have worked on projects for all three. We have worked on projects for Saudi Electricity Company in Qassim, for Marafiq in Yanbu, for SABIC in Jubail and for MODON in Riyadh. Read what that means for a supplier registration on our Aramco and SABIC approval page.
We hold certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 across quality, environment, and health and safety. Our Dammam workshops, including Al Badrani, build the panels in-house. Panels are built with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components. Read about our component choices on the Schneider Electric and ABB partner pages page.
For controllers and power quality analysers we work with our Italian technology partner, Elcontrol Energy Net of Bologna. The Elcontrol partner page lists the instruments we use on surveys.
Three things set our proposals apart:
- A calculation you can check. Your consultant sees the kVAr, the target power factor and the harmonic check line by line.
- Factory testing before dispatch. Each panel is energised on the test bench, and the record goes into the handover pack.
- One company from survey to maintenance. The engineer who sizes your panel is the one who answers your later questions.
What do we check before sizing a panel?
A correct panel starts with correct inputs. From your bill we read the billed demand, the recorded power factor and the months when it was lowest. From you we ask for the items below, and where something is missing we fit a logger and measure it.
- The transformer rating and the incoming supply voltage.
- The main motors, with their kW ratings and running hours.
- Any drives, UPS units, rectifiers or LED lighting banks, because these decide whether the capacitors need reactors.
- The space and ambient temperature of the electrical room, which set the enclosure and ventilation.
With these in hand, the proposal states the target power factor, the number of steps and the protection for each one. It also tells you if a different product would serve the site better than the one you asked about.
How does a project run?
- Send your bill. One month of your electricity bill or a load list is enough to start.
- Receive the proposal. Sized equipment, drawings list, standard, lead time and price arrive within one working day.
- Approve the design. We issue the single-line diagram and general arrangement for approval.
- We build and test. The panel is built in Dammam and tested before dispatch.
- Delivery and commissioning. We set the target power factor under load and check every step.
- Handover and support. Drawings, the test record and the manual are yours, and maintenance is available.
What problems can we solve for you?
- A low power factor charge on your bill that keeps recurring.
- A capacitor bank that overheats or fails every few months.
- Breakers tripping from harmonics after drives or UPS units were installed.
Where can you learn more?
Our engineers publish worked examples and checklists on the power factor correction blog. Start with the cost factors, the capacitor bank sizing method or the maintenance checklist. You can read about us on the about page and see our project experience.
We are an authorised partner of Siemens, Schneider Electric, ABB, Rittal, Elcontrol, Rockwell Automation, Eaton, Phoenix Contact, Danfoss, Omron and Legrand. See the Partners page for each brand.
